Export your Verizon Connect Work job history, and take it with you

Verizon is retiring Verizon Connect Work. Verizon says it was also known as Fleetmatics Work and Connect to Field. Reveal, Reveal Field, Workforce and Work Plan aren't affected. (Verizon announcement)
This page covers the free part: Verizon's deadline, the export steps, and where to open your files.
The deadline, in Verizon's words
- "We recommend completing all exports by December 31, 2026." (Verizon Comprehensive FAQ)
- "After the final shutdown on March 31, 2027, the platform will be inaccessible and all data will be purged." (Verizon Comprehensive FAQ)
- "Your daily business operations must be entirely migrated to your new provider by December 31, 2026." (Verizon Comprehensive FAQ)
- Verizon's billing page mentions "a restricted, non-billed technical extension through January" applied "solely to allow administrative access to your final historical data export tools." (Verizon Final Billing Cycles)
Plan around December 31, 2026. Treat January as a safety margin, not a plan.
Do these 3 things this week
- Export your client list. Log in as a full Account Administrator, click Migration Tool in the top navigation, and export Clients as CSV. If nothing opens, allow pop-ups for
work2.fleetmatics.com. (Verizon: Migration Tool) - Queue Jobs With Attachments in small ranges. Ranges can be at most 2 years, and Verizon suggests monthly or quarterly ranges for photos and documents. Don't overlap ranges. Media exports can take several days to over a week; don't cancel or re-request, because that resets your queue position. (Migration Tool, FAQ)
- Download every monthly file within 3 weeks. Date-range files come as ZIP files grouped by month, and each is available for three weeks after processing completes. Keep two copies. (Migration Tool)
Then export Jobs, Invoices, Quotes, Purchase Orders, Suppliers, Accounts and Start/Finish Questions the same way.
What the export gives you
- Monthly ZIP files for date-range categories, with Jobs With Attachments putting "Attachments ... in individual folders numbered for each associated Job." (Migration Tool)
- CSV or JSON files for clients, jobs, invoices and more. If you're unsure, Verizon recommends CSV.
- Nothing older than Verizon's 7-year retention: Verizon says date ranges before September 2019 give a 0-record file. (FAQ)
- No API and no direct transfer: "You must download your records and provide them to your new chosen provider." (FAQ)
Open and keep your files with the free viewer
The Job Archive Viewer reads the ZIP, CSV, JSON and Excel files from your Work export in your browser and builds an archive you can download and keep. It's free, and you don't need to buy anything to use it.
Move your clients and job history into your next tool
Keeping an archive is one job. Getting your clients and job records into Jobber, Housecall Pro or another tool is the other. A few facts from the vendors' own import docs:
- Work's client columns use Suburb and Postcode where Jobber and Housecall Pro expect city and ZIP/postal code.
- Jobber's client import takes files under 2.5MB (about 5,000 rows) and can't run in a private/incognito window. (Jobber: Import Clients)
- Jobber's job import is a Beta feature: up to 1,000 jobs per file, and past jobs import as complete and archived. (Jobber: Import Jobs)
- Housecall Pro needs real US ZIP codes and can't create custom fields. (Housecall Pro: Prepare to Import Your Data)
- Neither tool's CSV import docs list a field for job photos or attachments, so keep those in your export files.
The Job History Archive Kit ($19) is a guide plus templates for this step: an export checklist, a coverage-by-month report template, and Jobber and Housecall Pro import templates (CSV headers for clients and jobs, with field-mapping notes and sources). Verizon doesn't publish its full export column list, so mappings we couldn't confirm are clearly marked.

Other options
Some field-service vendors offer to migrate your Work data if you move to their software. Verizon also names preferred partners. That can be a good route if you've already chosen one. Verizon notes that "non-preferred providers do not have access to our export data schemas," so save the schemas from the Migration Tool (View Schema, Download Diagram) whichever way you go. FAQ
When should I finish exporting from Verizon Connect Work?
Verizon says: "We recommend completing all exports by December 31, 2026." It also says daily operations must be migrated to your new provider by that date, and: "After the final shutdown on March 31, 2027, the platform will be inaccessible and all data will be purged." (FAQ)
Is Fleetmatics Work the same thing?
Yes. Verizon says Verizon Connect Work was also known as Fleetmatics Work and Connect to Field. (Announcement)
Does this affect Reveal vehicle tracking?
No. Verizon says Reveal, Reveal Field, Workforce and Work Plan aren't affected. (Announcement)
Will Verizon move my data to my new software?
No. Verizon says it cannot move data directly to a third party: "You must download your records and provide them to your new chosen provider." (FAQ)
Why is my export blank or 0 records?
Verizon lists date ranges before September 2019, ranges with no job activity, and ranges that are too large. Try 1-year or 6-month chunks. (FAQ)
My export has been "Running" for days. Is it stuck?
Verizon says exports with media can take several days to over a week. Closing your browser won't stop it. Don't cancel or re-request; that resets your queue position. (FAQ)
How long do download links last?
Three weeks from when processing completes. (Migration Tool)
How do photos match to jobs?
Verizon says attachments are in folders numbered for each job, and its FAQ says attachment file names correlate with Job IDs. (Migration Tool, FAQ)
Can I import job photos into Jobber or Housecall Pro?
Their CSV import docs don't list a photo or attachment field. Clients and job records can be imported; keep photos in your export files or an archive. (Jobber, Housecall Pro)
Can I import past jobs?
Both document a jobs import. Jobber's is a Beta feature that imports past jobs as complete and archived, up to 1,000 per file. Housecall Pro's needs one row per job. (Jobber: Import Jobs, Housecall Pro)
Is this made by Verizon?
No. This page and the kit are made by labyrinth lab. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Verizon, Verizon Connect, Fleetmatics or Geotab.
